Beautiful Lamitta Franjieh was born in Zgharta,a beautiful city in the North of Lebanon where the weather is glorious and ideal for tourism. Lamitta was later raised in Beirut. she is the oldest among 3 siblings. 
Lamitta has two younger brothers Anthony and Boudy. Her father, Hamid Frangieh, and her mother is Dadi Frangieh. 

After she has completed her education, she studied Child Psychology. Lamitta did not have a normal childhood person because of her stunning beauty. At the age of five she captured everyone''s attention. When she became fourteen she took it to the catwalk to be come and model. 

Lamitta started her modeling career with Nathaly''s Agency, then she moved to Nidal Bsherrawi Modeling Agency. 

Lamitta quickly became one of Lebanon''s most promising beauties. In July 2005 Lamitta modeled for Robert Abi Nader in Paris and that was a keep turn in her modeling career. 

Even though she is still young, Lamitta has a large portfolio which includes numerous photo shoots and commercials. 

Lamitta so far has four important key points in her life. The first was during her teenage years when she was first introduced to the world of modeling. 

The second is a more formal presentation during her participation in the Miss Lebanon 2004 pageant. 

The third period started with the end of Miss Lebanon 2004, and the beginning of an unprecedented and increasing popularity of Lamitta

The fourth period was during her participation in the Miss World 2005.

Lamitta Franjieh participated in the Miss Lebanon 2004 contest, a reality show that was produced by LBC International for several years. Miss Lebanon 2004 was not her first pageant, as she was crowned Miss Independence 1995 (a small Lebanese beauty pageant for teens). 

During Miss Lebanon 2004, which is a reality show that went on for 6 weeks, Lamitta stunned the World with her beauty and simple yet elegant personality. She gained thousands of fans from all over the Arab Countries. 

Her participation in Miss Lebanon led to many controversies, since many believed that such a famous top model should not have participated in a beauty pageant reality show. 

Lamitta was unlike everyone else, on stage, her beautiful face, her stylish catwalk, her cool nerves, her great taste for fashion. All of these great aspects got her 9.885 for her evening gown presentation, 9.825 in the swimsuit section, 9.865 for the jury question, and 9.830 for the general question. The above points, along with 19 other points from people''s voting gave her a total of 70.3 points. It was a great disappointment to most of the Lebanese when she was not crowned as Miss Lebanon. Her scores made her the first runner up, the winner was Nadine Njeim. 

Lamitta also won the Miss Photogenic contest. However, Lamitta, who always wanted to represent Lebanon in an International pageant, stormed off the stage after knowing that she was not Miss Lebanon. 

The following day, all media wrote about how Lamitta did not win the title. She will not be remembered by the pictures with a crown on her head, but she will live forever in the joy that she brought to us every Friday night during the Miss Lebanon 2004 contest. 

Following Miss Lebanon 2004 final prime, Lamitta held a press conference and announced to public that she refused the 1st runner up placement and prefers not to be tied by an contract with the Miss Lebanon Organization. 

In the end Lamitta didn�t lose. Her participation in Miss Lebanon 2004 created for her a large base of fans from all over the world, it also gave her hundreds of modeling offers. 

Today Lamitta was placed on dozens of magazine covers, along with a huge amount of TV and Publishing commercials. 

Lamitta is still in the beginning of her career, she has yet a long and fruitful way to an eternal and international success. 

Currently she is modeling, working as a fashion editor on the Beauty of Fashion section for a magazine and preparing for a TV Show. 

It is her ambition to be a successful businesswoman, wife and mother. Hobbies and interests are: Tennis, skiing, swimming, traveling, and her favorite music is: Pink Floyd, Techno & Jazz. Favorite food: Seafood, Sushi, Italian, and of course Lebanese cuisine. Personal motto is �Reality is a name we give to our disappointments�.


The Miss World 2005 Final was held on Saturday, 10th December. Lebanese Model Lamitta Frangieh was the only Arab competing for the title. Miss Egypt 2005, Miriam George, did not compete for the title.

How would you describe yourself in three words? 
Ambitious, Calm, Responsible. 

Do you have a special or unusual talent? (What is it?) 
Writing and Oriental dance. 

Where would you most like to visit in the world and why? 
Each country has its distinguished nature and culture. I find it hard to choose a favourite destination since each destination is special in its own way. 

What is the best thing about your country? 
Lebanon has been and still is the meeting of great civilizations and cultures. This marvellous land, rich in its cultural heritage and beautiful landscapes, archaeological treasures and varied cuisine, the warmth and hospitality of its people, is a country that has long been destined for tourism. 

What is your favourite? 
Film: My favourite is ''The Pianist'' 
Music: Anything with a nice beat! 
Singer/band: Phil Collins/Celine Dion. 
Book: My favourite is ''The Prophet'' by Gibran Kahlil Gibran. 

If you were granted one wish, what would it be? 
I wish for a long healthy time together with my family. 

If you were stuck on a Desert Island with one other person (famous or not whom would you choose? 
I would choose My Mother. 

What is your message to all the other Miss World contestants? 
My message to them is to work hard to bring out the best in themselves and have faith in God and confidence in their abilities.
